Paramedic is a job in the Medical department.

You are a mindshielded role. You cannot be an antagonist.

As a paramedic, your job is to make sure the crew stay alive and well. Your job cycle consists of waiting until somebody goes into critical condition or no-longer-living condition and taking them to medical so the other doctors can take care of them.

Gears of the Trade

When it comes to tools at your disposal, you have a plethora.

Item Description
Paramedic Crew Monitor
This handheld tool shows you the location of any crew members who are in poor health, so long as they have their coordinates on. The screen will flash red when someone comes up as hurt.
Emergency Roller Bed
This roller bed can be unfolded to offer a quick and easy way to move patients around the station without slowing you down. Simply click and drag the patient onto the roller bed to buckle them to it. Click and drag them off to remove them. The roller bed can be folded and put back into your bag after use for easy storage.
Lockable Body Bag
This body bag can be used very effectively in combination with your roller bed. To use the body bag, unfold it and drag the patient over the bag, then click the bag. This makes bloody bodies a much less gruesome sight for the onlookers you might pass by on your way back to medical, so it's much appreciated.

The body bag is lockable! When locked, onlookers cannot access the body, but can still drag the body bag away. Be sure to lock up the bodies of security or command to keep thieves at bay.

Paramedic Defibrillator
This Defibrillator is special in that it can be packed up and brought along in your bag. Otherwise, it functions like a usual defibrillator.
Paramedic Voidsuit
This hardsuit is exclusive to paramedics. It's special in having little effect on the wearer's speed, and comes with a blue emergency light and siren.

wee woo wee woo wee woo!

Paramedic Jaws of Life
This Jaws of Life is much like any other Jaws of Life, but blue!

This tool can quickly open unpowered doors, and can even slowly force open doors, even if you don't have access to them. (Be aware you can't use a Jaws of Life to bypass bolted doors).

As a paramedic, this tool helps you traverse unpowered and spaced parts of the station. The jaws of life can also give you access to patients anywhere. Be aware that you should try to get the help of department staff first, and resort to your jaws second.
