As a Personal AI your job is to help your assigned person in any possible way. Keep the person alive and happy. Follow all commands given by your owner. Remember that your compact companion circuits do NOT include redundant moral integrity interfaces, meaning that you neither have to follow laws like silicons nor have to worry about legality / NT regulations

The role is supposed to be social, roleplay-heavy and meant to enrich the experience of other players(read: fun). Despite being a "passive item", a personal AI has a surprising level of utility:

• Your owner can put a communcation encryption key into you, giving you access to the corresponding radio channel. Usually this means giving access to common- or department-frequencies. Become a secretary or call for security instead of having to watch helplessly while your owner gets brutalised in the maintenance tunnels.
• Install language expansions and become a translator or talk to your owner more secretively.
• Install the mapping module or mass scanner to help your owner navigate locally or in space
• When inserted into a plushie you become 2.7 times more adorable. When speaking your name will show as the plushy, making it as if it were alive. If you require a unique name, request someone to add it using a labeler.
• When inserted into a pda you can access the pdas functions. You can use the messenger function, skim over the news and check the evacuation timer, reading it out lout to keep your owner on edge. Some pdas have additional functionality like security being able to check the wanted list.
• You can interact and check consoles which you are inserted into. This means if a random puts his pai into a security camera console, the pai can watch all connected security footage. This is especially powerful when you have radio-access and can coordinate with your owner remotely - until someone interacts with the console and pulls you out.
• Improve morale using the music-extension. Play midi-soundfiles or join other music-bands around you.

Even without all these tools, you can do a decent job with simple "backseat gaming". Commend the players actions, point out dangers and make funny comments about how it could be so much work. Tell him to refill oxygen, grab that crowbar and not to eat that ominous pill).

It is possible for an individual to have multiple PAI, in which case you can split responsiblities. Usually this means that one will provide navigation and the other music. Languages can also be split depending on available memory points.
